to our small farm in the foothills of the Bitterroot Mountains in Western Montana.
We raise the wonderful versatile breed of icelandic sheep, which provide us with fiber, milk and meat, making them ideal for our homestead.
Breeding for milkiness is one of our main goals, since we believe the sheep to be the an ideal animal for the small farm. For the upcoming breeding season we hope to introduce east frisian genetics into our "milking flock" to improve this trait. Please see the milking sheep page for more details.
Our gardens and orchard furnish most of our and part of the animals needs.
We strongly believe in a holistic approach to our life and to be resourceful instead of resource consuming - the icelandic sheep are a perfect fit.
We are not certified organic, but apply at least if not exceed organic standards to our farming practices.
Please look around and feel free to contact me with any questions you might have.

Our sheep are solely grass fed, only supplemented with minerals, salt and seaweed. Never are they treated preventatively with any kind of drugs.
We use herbal dewormer and diatomaceous earth to keep parasites at bay. We do not believe in the use of hormones. The icelandic sheep is hardy enough to live outside year round, lambing in the pasture. All of our sheep have access to shelters.
